Dear Andie,
On Thursday, June 18th 2015 at 9:39a.m. you turned ONE! Our sweet little Andie is one. Thankfully, your mama considers all babies to be babies until they are two, so you are still very much our baby. :) We have had the absolute best and most peaceful year with you. Probably because you are the most peaceful and calm baby ever. You make all of us more peaceful and calm, you definitely have brought that to our family from day one. Andie, you also have always been the most adorably juicy baby to us with the sweetest little round face. The word "delicious" has been word about a million times in your first year, and you have been kissed and snuggled even more than that. We simply just can't get enough of you and we are so very grateful for you in our lives.
Your big sister, Quinn, absolutely adores you. She calls you her bestest friend ever, and you can't even talk to her yet. ;) Just wait for all the fun the two of you will have together.
Quinn definitely makes you laugh the hardest, and it makes all of us laugh.
You bring SO much joy and happiness into our days and our lives.
We had your big first birthday party on Sunday, June 28th, 2015.
There were about 40 adults and 20 kids at your party. You are so very loved my sweet girl.
Thankfully you have a summer birthday, and that meant we could spend lots of time outside - especially for the kids. Daddy set up an obstacle course and it seemed to be a big hit. I think your sister ran it about 40 times that day.
As per usual, mommy is too busy just snuggling you up that I didn't get all the pictures I had hoped but here are a few from your party day (with a few details).
You had a PINK & GOLD party - that was fun and pretty!
You were a beautiful little birthday princess.
Oh my goodness - you were stinkin' adorable.
Grandma D. made your gorgeous dress, and we made a little gold crown for you.
Here is your pretty sister on your party day.
She joined in the pink and gold fun, and had a skirt made by Grandma as well.
Craft Note: Andie's crown is a piece of lace about 6 inches long. Covered in Stiffy fabric stiffener, dried, then painted in gold paint, sprinkled with glitter, and rolled into a circle with a dab of hot glue to hold the circle. The crown is in place on Andie with bobby pins.

We served hot dogs, brats, potato salad, macaroni salad, chopped salad, watermelon, grapes, cantelope, chips, deviled eggs - and had cake pops(made by mommy) and cookies(made by grandma) for dessert. The cookies had your name on them. You had a pretty pink vanilla smashcake from Sweet Dreams.
You were pretty timid about your cake.
It took a while, but you finally starting digging in a little.
You sat so quietly and perfectly for your present opening. :) You received so many sweet gifts. And you will have one awesome time capsule to open on your 18th birthday!
Grandma made your beautiful dress, helped a lot with your party, and spent a big part of your birthday month with us. Daddy and I were so grateful for her help while we redid the kitchen prior to your birthday party - but more on that another time.
All of mommy's high school besties, and some of our kiddos. Many years down the road when you read this, you will know that these friends are like family and I'm sure we will all still be spending lots of time together. :) The number of kiddos is growing a lot! (6 not pictured, and 2 hiding in bellies :))
Andie, you had the best birthday party. It was so much fun and so full of love. We couldn't ask for anything more for our little angel. You truly are a little angel. Our easygoing, full of smiles, never shows frustration girl. You make life so easy for mommy and daddy. Can you please remember to do that when you are a teenager too please? ;) Your little baby months have been amazing, and we know it will just keep getting better. We are so excited to see the little lady that you will become and all the things you will enjoy in life. Millions more kisses to come sweet girl...
