We were all pretty tired this week...

Lucy not only follows me everywhere, but I think here she is demonstrating how I have been feeling and acting these last few weeks. :) Not very lady-like she is.

Ahh... the joys of coaching

This week Todd's team made a visit to our house for some TPing fun. I was just very glad that they did not wake me up. :) Sleep is something that is becoming more exciting if I can actually get some. Last year they were the loudest TPers I had ever known, and I wanted to go out and teach them how it was done. This year...much better. Although, we aren't the most fun house, with our one little tree and only a few bushes. Fortunately for them, Todd's truck is always sitting outside, so they usually take care of that too. At least we can check this off the list for the season, done.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

This past weekend we had the excitement of sharing the news with Todd's parents! It was so wonderful and exciting to share it with both of them. Genny was thrilled and Ron could not have asked for a better 60th birthday present! They are first time grandparents. :) It worked out so perfectly. At the birthday bash, we were able to see more family and he was able to share the excitement of this extra special birthday gift with everyone. It was a great day and so fun to share our news with family!

This past week (week 11):
Baby is now the size of a lime! Fingers and toes are wiggling away.
Mom is feeling...well, a little bit better. Still some motherly and fatherly intuition telling us its a girl. We'll see if that changes. Dad is in full swing with volleyball season now, and we are enjoying this last weekend before we are back to school already.

First Ultrasound :)

On August 11th, we had our first ultrasound. What an amazing experience! Baby showed up right away, moving quite a bit, and had a very strong heartbeat. I should have prepared Todd, he wasn't expecting such a high heartbeat, which is very normal. It was 179 beats per minute. :) We were so thrilled and everything feels very real now. Due date is set at March 14th for now. Baby was measuring a little ahead, but we will have to wait and see if that continues and if they bump up the date.
This week is now week 11 already! Thank goodness this part is going by quickly. Week 9 and 10, I was very sick all day. I am feeling better this week, and just getting sick once or twice a day (that still sounds pretty bad, but it's so much better :).

Bon Jovi

Ever been moved to tears at a rock concert before? probably not. haha. Me on the otherhand, found myself so moved and in absolute awe when he came out onstage and so passionately sang "Always". I'm sure being pregnant and very hormonal added to that. :) I have been looking forward to this concert since last October! The time to wait for this was longer than to plan our wedding! Friday night, my friend Pam, and a group of 4 of us headed out to a gorgeous night at Soldier Field for a Bon Jovi event, and it truly was an event. They played for 3 hours! It was an UNBELIEVABLE show, and tops most all previous concert experiences for sure. They love their fans, and it shows. For those that know me well, you know the deep down 80's girl I am and will always be. I was glad that our little one has been initiated into music the right way. :) There is no better way than by Bon Jovi.

Baby is now the size of a raspberry and growing quickly! Bon Jovi was the big event for baby this week, and morning sickness has officially set in for mom. However, I'd like to change that to morning, noon and night sickness. I've been nauseous the last couple weeks, but now I really know what it means to feel nauseous. I invested in Sea Bands, and they seem to subside the nausea a little bit. I had to find creative ways to cover them with jewelry for the concert. :) Todd is fantastic and such a trooper. He has officially jumped into mode of getting the foods I'm craving and helping out a ton around the house. He is the best! And the regular foot massages are wonderful too. Moving on to week 9!
